These newer sticks are lighter than expected, but they performed perfectly and I have had no issues with them for the month that I have used them. I purchased these as replacement sticks for the original set to Rock Band, which became broken.
The tip is just unpainted wood. I know it doesn't say it is nylon anywhere, but the picture can be tricky. They are just what you would expect, same size as originals, a little bit thicker (just a little bit, almost unnoticeable). Just be aware the point is not nylon.
But like i said I'm no professional. Im no professional drummer but in my opinion they are nice. beautiful paint job, a bit heavier and nicer than the drumsticks provided with rockband, would possibly recommend using them for real drums.
So if you're looking for new sticks and you don't have access to normal drum sticks, these are good ones to get. And they look cool too. Just typing up this nifty little review to let anyone reading know that these are quality drum sticks for Guitar Hero or Rock Band. They have a bit of weight to them but I don't mind, and they're nice and bouncy allowing for easier double hits.
They're heavier, more solid and feel better when rocking out. These sticks are MUCH better than the ones that came with the Wii drum set.
